I arrived in Puerto Vallarta in 1983, and was immediately struck by the comically surreal and strange details of everyday life. This inspired me to begin writing stories about the my bewildering existence as an American expat living in Mexico.
Thirty years later I’ve churned out something like two hundred stories, many of them previously published in newspapers and magazines. The “free samples” you will find on this site are mostly short. My longer stories and novel are all available in e-book form.
All of these short tales are true in almost every detail, something many people find difficult to believe—unless they have spent time in Mexico. For Mexico is not only the land of mariachis and tequila; it is also home to some of the funniest most bizarre behavior on the planet.
